Type of a scam Debt Collections
I started getting these calls as well as my family and fiancé. They leave a message that’s sounds like a robot/pre-recording saying "This call is regarding our location and tracing efforts for (my name-in robot voice). It is important that we speak with you regarding their whereabouts. If we cannot verify this information through you, the law allows us to contact all references on file". I called them back and a man answered by his first name. He said he would look up my "account" but I told him I don’t have one and stop calling me. They keep trying to get my social. They are rude and keep hanging up on me. The jerk who answered the second time I called was Justin. He told me I don’t have an account and they’re not going to stop calling me until I give them the last four of my social. My fiancé said they told him they were trying to collect on a loan I took out in 2012. Which can’t be further from the truth. These guys are total scammers and need to be stopped. Be aware and don’t give them any info.
