Noticed same phone number on caller ID listed as Honoluu, Hawaii 1-808-845-6123 with no tel message. As a habit of mine, I do not resend to calls if there is no message. Calls always before 12 pm. On Thursday 4/27/17 @ 3:32 my home phone rang And I answered and person addressed me by name, I confirmed and he introduced himself as Mike who was here to assist me to avoid my PC from malicious viruses/malware downloads and willing to delete these errors. He asked me if I was near my PC/ yes., Said to press cTRL & Windows button +R. I pretended that that I could hardly hear him being hearing impaired and hung up. I then checked out The meaning of CTRL+W+R meant on the internet then awaited for same to call. Sure enough, Mike called again and I noticed on my telephone that :"Honolulu number" and asked Mike for details like where was he calling from (San Jose) What was the Co name (Tech-Guru) and again played the same game that I m hearing impaired and couldn’t understand etc and hung up. Noticed his trying to contact me today three more times by seeing that same Honolulu Tel number. I feel that this is scam in manner I was approached and appeared like I was speaking to some one from the East with accent which sounded more like from India….

Received a phone call on my home number from a male person claiming to be with Tech Guru and asserting that I had malware on my computer. He had a strong Indian accent. I have several computers e.g. a Windows desktop and an iMac, and my son also has a computer running Windows. The "tech" could not tell me anything about which computer he thought had a malware issue. When I pressed him he told me to type in a long series of letters and numbers, which I wrote down but did not put in the computer. It was clearly some kind of hexadecimal sequence. The sequence comprised 32 hexadecimal digits with 4 dashes. As nothing was sent to me I have no image to share.
