called saying I had been pre-approved for a loan. Had. enough info To sound legit, BUT said I needed to prove my ability to pay. Then, didirected to go to:
CVS,Walgreens, Wal-Mart, or Rite-Aid and get An Itunes gift card and put my monthly payment amount of $250.00 on it. Then, call them back with the number under scratch off panel, and they would add the $250 back to the loan amount. I googled the banks phone number with the address and got a different number, so I called and they never heard of Wilson Smyth. So, don’t let them get u too!! Fortunately, I didn’t buy card, but they did get my banking info….

Received a call stating that was preapproved for loan. My mother was desperate at the time and followed the instructions given to her to get a loan. They asked for the first months payment in advance and she did it. Now she has no loan & no electricity because she used her light bill money to try and get the loan. This is a scam targeting older people in desperate financial situations. I wish there was a way to find these people and punish them accordingly. The phone number they use to call does not accept incoming calls, it is 404-480-2978. You can reach them by calling 404-829-4609, but I’ve been told it is several businesses when I tried to obtain information about them.
P.S. I was able to keep my mother’s lights but barely.
