Techzilla posted pop-ups on my computer. One from Verizon, my carrier, stating that I had a sever virus on my network and that my internet service would be shut down. A second from Microsoft with an an error number and the Tel. No. 855-410-1415. I called thatnumber and was transferred to tech support. I allowed them control my computer and diagnosed a virus called Foobah that they verified from a make believe Google search. They sold me a clean up and 3 year protection plan for $399.99. I later verified with that Verizon had no record of a problem with my network and had 65 complaints about scams from this complany.

A virus appeared on my computer. A pop-up offered a number to call to fix the problem. I could not close the pop-up. I called the number. At least three representatives took turns talking to me for almost two hours. They said they removed the virus and charged me $150, which I paid by cred it card. They pressured me to take long-term protection for up to $1000, all of which I declined. I suspect that my computer may have been compromised during our conversation. I am concerned about the security of my data, especially financial accounts and information.
