Travel & Reservation Service, they say are based out of Orlando Florida. The scam starts with a call saying they have taken over the bookings from an out of business company called "Grand Imperial Cruises" and that the booking made through the original company is about to expire.. I had tried many times to confirm my original booking with " Grand Imperial Cruises" long before the expiry date but the web site and phone numbers didn’t work. Also there was no effort by either "Grand Imperial Cruises" or Travel & Reservation Service to contact me, to inform me that I could book through Travel & Reservation Service until the last month before the original booking was due to expire.
If you try to book the cruise right away Travel & Reservation Service says you have to book 60 days in advance. But you cannot book because the booking will expire in 30 days. Then they try to sell you an extension of your original cruise or a new cruise package through Carnival Cruise Line.
This company, Travel & Reservation Service, is not registered to do business in Florida. Checked Sunbiz.org No company registered to "Travel & Reservation Service".
Also checked with Carnival Cruise line but the person was not able to find the company nor could they confirm if "Travel & Reservation Service" is a legitimate booking company.
Note that the company that went by the name " Grand Imperial Cruises" was also a scam company and stole the Payment I made in good faith. Both companies are out to take your money.
