Type of a scam Employment
Received an email from ZipRecruiter identifying I was a good match for a company. Then received an email and a text asking me for an interview. The grammar and spelling of emails/text was misspelled slightly, tone was off slightly. Proceeded with interview using Wire Messaging. However, on the interview, I noticed she was unwilling to go on camera and wouldn’t answer my phone call. I proceeded with the interview questions, which seemed very generic and scripted. Then it proceeds to financial issues immediately after asking me to stay active in the chat for a few minutes and then offering me the "job" right away. They informed me they would be sending me a PDF of a check and that I was to deposit it and buy equipment. I ddin’t give out account information but they did ask what my daily deposit limit was. I asked again to call them. They wouldn’t allow it. So I calld the company Theragenics Corporation located in Buford, GA instead and verified with the receptionist that no such email was used in the company. I also noticed there was an extra "s" in the email address for "theragenicss.com". I immediately ended the chat window and deleted my account. They proceeded to text me and ask if I was "still connected". I text back I believed this was a scam and I would be reporting them and received no more responses. I am worried because they have my resume and it lists my full name, address, phone number and email address.
