Type of a scam Tech Support
On June 15 my computer went haywire and someone came on and offered to fix it with a telephone number to call. They worked on it for more than one hour and then it was fixed. Then they sold me a three year warranty for $375.33. I paid them by a personal check electronically on the computer. They gave me a telephone number to call for further troubleshooting. Soon after, I decided it was a scam and I contacted my bank and changed my account so they were not able to cash the check. They have continued to call me seeking payment for the warranty.
