Type of a scam Employment
I found a legit looking job offer on Indeed.com and applied through the Indeed website. A few days later I receive an email from Shelly ******* the “hiring manager” ********************************* that I should forward my resume to ************************ for further instruction. After I emailed that address I received an email starting that the original position that I applied for has been filled, but he was looking for a personal assistant and I’m the only one qualified. He went to say that I would be paid $800/week and would raise to $1000/week depending on how I delivered my duties. Some of the job responsibilities were handling his personal finances. He seemed very trusting for a stranger to handle his personal finances without an interview or background check on me. He went on to say in the email that part of applying I need to send my address (no P.O. Box). He said we would talk more when he was back from his business trip.
