Type of a scam Online Purchase

Saw a puppy ad on a free ad website. Contacted them about it, (two samoyed puppies, and they were giving them out for free). Gave us a sob story about why they were giving the pups out…something about their son having an eye surgery or something. Anyways, we took this offer with a grain of salt. This is obviously a puppy scam. Their first email was clearly copy and pasted, and the rest of their interactions were full of grammar mistakes. Got to the point where the ThomasBravo guy claimed they have the puppy ready to ship, and we received a very crude and poor advert for their Pet Relocation compan. We knew it was a scam by then, but we havent gotten to the point where they gave us instructions on how to wire the money.
