I was contacted by text message regarding my resume that I had posted in a famous job search website. I replied to the text message hours later than when I had received it without hope of getting a reply. Keep in mind that I replied to the text around 8:30pm, and that to my surprise, I received a reply a few minutes later. I was asked for an email address so that I could get in contact with their hiring manager via hangouts for an interview and a job briefing. The interview seemed pretty normal, but then again, it was pretty late at night. They stopped replying midway through the interview, but they continued the conversation the next morning. After the interview, they told me that they had decided to offer me a position. The offer they gave me was that I would be paid $20/hr for a part-time, and that I would work 2-3 hrs a day. They said that they would send a check by mail so that I could buy a mac book and a software in order for me to start my training, but then they asked me if I knew how to work with mobile deposit, and that they would send the check by email so that I could start my training sooner. They sent me a pdf check to my email, and that was the last red flag. Luckily I didn’t give them any other information than my name and address.
