Type of a scam Online Purchase
I read an article from Facebook on a skin care line that was supposedly introduced and owned by Joanna Gaines and wanted to try it out since it was only $4.95. The site would not allow me to only try 1 product. Each product was 4.95. Since was only 4.95 per product; I purchased both. I thought it strange, but the cost was marginal. No where during the check out did it mention any additional charges would be made, nor did it advise of a trial period or that the products needed to be returned or my account would be charged. I LOOKED. The confirmation e-mail I received only showed tracking number and the phone number for customer service- NOTHING ELSE- I got the products and check the package for return information. NOTHING. I was checking my bank statement and saw that they charged my account $89.95 x2 with no notice or authorization. I called customer service and they advised the charge were for the products and their subscription plan. I had to be very aggressive for the person on the line (Ken – and it was a woman – female in background in conversation and giggling) When I contacted the second phone number to dispute it was the SAME woman and this time her name was Alla. Addtionally, the charges appearing on my bank statement were not marked TryReplentish.
