I’m an employee at a professional association and I regularly receive predatory conference phishing scam emails (emails asking individuals to send money or personally-identifying documents in order to attend a fake conference). This one went above and beyond, as not only does it send a phishing email (see attached), but it also incorporates a fake organizational website (http://www.thehrio.org/) and a fake hotel website for "booking" for the fake event (http://www.plazaroyaldowntownhotel.com/)
I’ve warned our membership about it and pointed out all of the red flags that identify it as a scam attempt.
