Type of a scam Sweepstakes/Lottery/Prizes
Trying to get me to give them personal information through the claim that I have won a large amount of money.
My name is *** ***. My phone number is ###-###-####. My husband and I have an account through Century Link.
I have a caller who claims to be Publisher’s Clearing House (but then identified as PCA). They (David Brown and David Johnson) keep calling me and have used some threatening words to try to keep me on the line, answer their questions, and agree to receive prize that I "must receive once agreed". Their phone number is 876-852-2426. They claim to be supported by Chase Bank as well as Bank of America.
They gave me a claim number for a Lottery Sweep Stakes, 06849608873814 and claimed it was associated with Bank of America.
Could you please check them out for me? The last call I received was about 50 minutes ago. In addition to the multiple times that they called me yesterday.
PS, I live in New Mexico now, but use my phone which is contracted through Wisconsin (lived there year round until 9 years ago). I pay Wisconsin property taxes. This company assumed that I live in Wisconsin based on my phone number. Please call me any time. They tried to get a large amount of information from me before I hung up. When I called the number back they said they were Chase Bank.
