Type of a scam Romance
I met a gentleman on a dating website. He claims to be in the US Military serving in Kabul, Afghanistan with the UN Peacekeeping Mission. He informed me that he was gifted a reward for saving a rich family’s life and they gave him Gold bars. This company is where he apparently stored it in Kabul. They notified me that I would have to pay money to have the storage fees paid. I paid the funds. Soon after, they cancelled the website and have since created a new one using false address, false team members and use pictures from legitimate companies.
I was harrassed daily via text and email. I thought my online gentleman didn’t know but unfortunately, it would appear as though he knew all along.
