"Account Officer" Jason Owens (who claimed to the the supervisor as well) called to inform us that he was contracted by "Y-List Marketing" because we owed a past due amount for the services agreed upon, over the phone with a "verbal PO", by one of our staff members. I listened to the "recording" of the phone call — the caller/sales rep asked extremely leading questions that anyone, without thinking "why do you need it?", will answer about the business they work for. When I continued to ask questions, Jason began to say I was being un-cooperative ! I’m sorry if I am having a hard time believing that the business I work for, one that continues to do everything by hand, would agree to an online listing for the company for $700 …….. Then Jason tried to explain the laws about refusals of payment and what could happen if we did not pay the invoice, which all of a sudden included additional fees and now total $1100. According to other staff at the office, this is not the first time someone has tried to bully us into paying their fake invoices.
