Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order
I received a priority mail package with a letter asking me to do a Walmart survey evaluation which included a check for $1820.60. The letter asked me to log onto a website called [email protected] and give my full name and cell plus confirm that I would complete the task today or latest tomorrow. In the letter it mentioned an amount of check attached covers the assignment bills but, the amount stated did not match the amount on the check. I was asked to deposit the check and complete the task today. I immediately goggled the return address name and address on the mail envelope with no success. I then goggled the name on the check which was Deluxe Corporation Foundation which has nothing to do with Walmart. So thankful that I knew this was too good to be true and then did a little research to determine everything was false. I tore the check up! Please don’t fall for this!
