Type of a scam Rental
After searching online for a vacation rental in Florida I received an email thanking me for my inquiry and stating a rental was available for the dates I wanted. However, I didn’t recognize the company name, or the unit available. It was a great price which made me suspicious. I checked their website www.proretreatsinc.com and noticed they were in the United Kingdom and didn’t list a telephone number. I checked whois and discovered the website was created on March 2, 2016. I noticed reviews with names and cities, so I googled one of the reviewers in North Carolina, and then contacted him by phone. He stated he had never heard of Proretreats and that his review from years ago has shown up on several fake websites. All of this, plus a few more issues, makes me highly suspicious this is a scam.
