Received call from "no caller ID" 9/12/18 @ 12:42 pm stating mans name was Kevin Baker from Publishers Clearance House and that he had a special package delivery for me, was I home to receive. Stated I was not but wasn’t expecting package, what was it? He explained I would need to call Mark Anderson at 876-860-3651 ext 5 and that my package number was *** and ended call saying "congratulations on your winnings." I googled name of company and found Publishers Clearing House. At 12:49pm received call from "Unknown Caller" and it was Kevin again asking if I had called Mark yet. I stated no, I didn’t understand what it was. He explained I had won a prize and needed to call him to claim it. I hung up and called the number he gave me, it didn’t work. So I called the customer service # on the real companies website. They said it was a scam. Kevin called back I stated the # he gave me didn’t work and that the real company said it was a scam. He said that’s why he gave me a specific phone # and transferred me to Mark, Mark (who sounded A LOT like Kevin) said I won 17 million dollars and a 2018 Mercedes car. Asked if I wanted public (with local news cameras) or private (just family) delivery of prize, also asked if I wanted hard top or convertible for the vehicle. Then he said I needed to go to Walmart RIGHT NOW to get release receipt with the package code stated above. I asked how do I know if this is a scam, he said he was a religious man who volunteers at his church every week. That he wouldn’t waste my time just as I wouldn’t waste his time. Also that the company policy is to be on the phone the entire time until I collect my winnings. There would be a "small service fee of merely $600" and some change that would be refunded at time of winnings, I would simply need to put the package number on the back of the release receipt I could get from my local Walmart. I hung up. They called seven more times in ten minutes from unlisted numbers, I ignored all the calls. Just to squelch all curiosity, I went to my local Walmart with the "package #" he gave me. The customer service rep at Walmart looked up the number in multiple locations and confirmed it was 100% a scam. If you get a call like this DO NOT PAY ANY SERVICE FEE DO NOT BELIEVE THEM, THIS IS 100% A SCAM!!!
