My stepmom told me she bought a puppy online. I asked her the details and looked at their website and was immediately uneasy with the pictures which looked stolen, the lack of address, the number leads to a Google voice and only works if you text the number via whatsapp. Then they asked her for a money order and told her sister she would need to use money gram and she needs to use western union. I am a prospective law school student and know firsthand that is typical scammer form for money transfer. I found another website that said it was a total scam and went with her to refund the money order immediately. Luckily the person had not yet come to collect. Then they messaged her very upset that the money wasn’t there. When we asked for proper identification he stopped replying.
