I received a letter saying I could receive student loan forgiveness/partial payments/forebearance type help. I followed up with a phone call and continued contacting this woman named Cindy Sebreros through Preferred Doc Solutions until she talked me through their program and mentioned how they would charge a $700+ fee for their loan help. Anyway, it seemed strange that I would be paying them to help me save money. She said once I paid (either all upfront or in a few separate payments), they’d begin to process my loan forebearance, and since it is supposedly an income based program, would significantly lower my payments and lengthen the amount of time necessary for the payments.
