Type of a scam Sweepstakes/Lottery/Prizes

Todd Sloane from the PCH prize patrol will friend you and PM you on facebook and chat for a minute, making small talk and then proceed to tell you that you’ve won the PCH sweepstakes. They will want to verify your name, address, phone number, age (Don’t do this). They will then tell you that they will get ready to come to your house with your prizes. They will then proceed to explain that in order to take delivery of your prizes that you need to pay them $199. (Don’t fall for this scam, as you don’t need to pay anything when you win a prize from the legitimate PCH). They will then start to ask you about bank accounts and if you have any. Don’t give them anymore information, especially not any banking information. Facebook shut off their account and they started texting me on my cell phone. I told them to leave me alone and that this was a scam.

Caller asked if I received anything in the mail yet from Publishers Clearing House as I have won 2.8 million. I stated no. He then gave me a phone # to call along with a reference number. I waited less than 5 minutes. He calls back. I told him I was getting ready to call. I called from my work phone (not my cell phone that this guy called me on). The phone system doesn’t recognize the number he gave me. This is the second time they have called. They called approx a month ago and I hung up on them.
