Type of a scam Family/Friend Emergency
I received a phone call from my husbands phone number and the person speaking said he was an officer from department of homeland security and that my husband has been arrested for transferring $800000 to an offshore account. He needed me to go to a special bond station pay $5855.00 then go to the police station, and this person on the phone was going to walk me through the whole process. He then asked me to put a code on my phone something like #34# or #35# and then somehow we got disconnected, I then called back my husbands number and he answered and was just fine, that’s when I realized I had been scammed. But I’m concerned that the code they made me enter in my phone will compromise all my information or maybe transmit to them somehow.
