Website offers puppies for sale with payment of $350 and $115 shipping which is requested by MoneyGram transfer. Following this an e-mail is sent from a ‘shipper’ requesting $1515 for a ‘life insurance’ policy and claiming the dog cannot be shipped without it and that ‘the parties involved could be charged with animal abuse’ and the dog quarantined for up to 9 months. Research after the fact indicates website seems to be based in Egypt, but individuals communicating indicated they were in Maryland. Phone number had Oklahoma area code.
