Type of a scam Employment
Contacted initially by Lauren S*** (email: [email protected]) saying they had a new and exciting company and were interested in giving me an opportunity to join the company. I responded sure, would like more information. Brian R*** (email [email protected]) responded with an email showing his interest as he would be my direct supervisor. I told him I was still interested and he sent to me an employment job offer letter including salary and benefits. I called the number provided and Brian gave me a website to check out that would answer all of my questions. I suspected something was wrong because the offer letter had a couple of misspelling but I received another email welcoming me aboard and to provide my full name, address and phone number. I again contacted Brian saying he should have had this as he claimed to have my resume. I gave him the requested information via email and still was not feeling right about the this, I called the number again asking for proof they were a legitimate company and the swear words he unleashed on me would have made a sailor blush. I spent the next 4 + hrs contacting all of my bank institutions to insure I would not be a victim of identity theft.
