Type of a scam Tax Collection
The Scam begins when there is a caller ID origination from Chicago, Illinois, (773) 839-5210, and when you answer the call, a recorded voice message form a male voice identifying himself as an Officer of the Internal Revenue Service that there is a pending criminal case against the recipient of the scam call. I immediately hang-up the call because I recognized it as a phone scam (when it was using a scare tactic indicating that the call recipient is going to jail if ignored) and I rejected future calls from the scammer and blocked it permanently from my android phone.
