Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order
i was selling a rifle, he was interested and stated he would send me a cashier check. about a week later a check from some company i never heard of came in the ups mail. the check was for almost 3 times what the amount i need to buy and ship the rifle. 2500.00 i only need about 760.00. he instructed me to hurry and deposit the check that day, and then send the remaining balance to the FFL with the gun. The check was from Powerhouse Motorsports, the check was sent from Government Revenue Solutions Herndon, VA 20171. Kept bugging me to deposit that day. Until i told him i was reporting to fraud.
