Asked me for a donation for the police foundation. Asked him if he would send me more information by mail, so I can take a look at it. He said only when I make a payment over the phone will he send me that. He also said "this is a recording" ‘not associated with any political party" Not 100% sure it was a scam but I didn’t feel comfortable about it!

Received a phone call from an unrecognized number to my cell phone. Caller said he was calling on behalf of the Police Foundation for donations. The connection had an echo, so was a little confusing. I began to explain I do not make donations via the phone, but at a point in the short conversation I said the word "yes". After a short bit of speaking over the phone echos the caller said they would call back at a better time. Unfortunately I am now on the alert for unauthorized charges since this caller has my cell phone number and me saying the word "yes".
