Supposed Microsoft tech called to say my computer had a virus. I gave him control of my hard drive and then realized he wanted $199.95 to clean it up. I told him I had to call my bank and he stated that I shouldn’t do that; that he would take care of everything. That’s when red flags went up and I hung up.
