My wife received a priority mail envelope which included instructions as well as a $2,900 cashier’s check to be a secret shopper and buy 4 Apple store gift cards in $500 and $200 denominations as well as 2 Amazon gift cards from Wal-Mart in $500 denominations. For this she would have been paid $500. Needless to say, I immediately started looking online about this type of scam and found that it has happen to others and has been in the news (not surprisingly, the check was in the same amount).
