Type of a scam Tech Support
It popped up on my computer. Then it froze my computer. Then they put a phone number to call immediately or my computer would be irreparably damaged. I could not X out of the program no matter what I tried. I called the number provided and they tried to get access to my computer claiming they could fix it, he had a very strong accent and was hard to fully understand. I immediately hung up from the phone call, turned my computer off, waited a few more minutes and turned it on again. In a matter of minutes it was frozen again. So I called Microsoft and they forwarded me to a company that could get rid of the "hijack scam" . I looked up the company they forwarded me to and it had a A+ rating so I called them and they are helping me go get this off my computer. I hung up before I let them tell me how much money they wanted me to pay, because I was suspicious.
