Type of a scam Credit Repair/Debt Relief
Company called about possibly erasing or removing student loan debt. It was an automated message, but I have received similar calls and spoke to other scammers on the phone. This is the first one I’ve received since I’ve known about the scam tracker, but I will be reporting all of them from now on. I hung up before the automated message had finished and I did not select a number to move forward with the process or learn more. I know that legitimate student loan forgiveness companies or government agencies will not contact individuals about this possibility. Therefore I know this is a scam.
