Type of a scam Online Purchase
This person seemed to be a very legitimate breeder initially. Quickly responded to all of my questions. Even sent more photos and a short video of a puppy when I requested it. As I did research I found it odd that they had no facebook page, nor could I find any reviews anywhere on the internet. Then I became very wary once we moved on to the purchase portion and they would only accept money Western Union, but would send a certificate of ownership as proof. They would not ship the puppy until he had his money Western Union. So I told him that instead I would fly up to pick the puppy up in person and pay with cash. He started to become hostile about me disrespecting his protocol. When I repeated that I’d rather pick the puppy up and fly home with it myself, he said he wouldn’t allow me an appointment to pick up the puppy without first sending him $300 (2/3 of the purchase price) Western Union first. I am a veterinarian and have purchased a dog before, this behavior is extremely suspicious and unusual for a breeder. Also in the email the person is sending toys, food, a book, basically a lot of extra things breeders don’t usually give away.
