Type of a scam Online Purchase
I ordered electronic pressure sensors from the company, the company website showed all items in stock stating "Ships Today + Free Overnight Shipping," image attached. Followed the website procedures and paid with credit card per terms and conditions, amount approx. $1500 USD.
The next day, instead of receiving a confirmation of the order and shipping, I received an email from "Ocen Chan" claiming to be the "Sales & Marketing Director" for "Newicshop Online service Mall." He stated that for my order, I had to pay by money wire transfer and offered to send the bank information for the transfer. In addition, he stated the ordered items now require a 3-4 week lead time.
This appears to be a scam luring customers in with promise of in stock items and rapid free shipping, only to have them change payment method to wire transfer and take their money.
