A popup message appeared on my computer screen telling me that my computer had been compromised and I had to call the number right away or my personal information would be compromised and my computer would no longer function. I called the number and was told that they could fix the problem and I was foolish enough to allow them access to my computer. They fixed it and downloaded some software onto it. When I later called Microsoft to see if this company was affiliated with them they told me that I had been scammed. They removed the software this company had installed.
