An ad for section 8 housing was placed on Housing Link (ad no longer available) by NR Enterprises. Upon contacting them, I was asked to fill out a rental application and submit an application fee to a bank account in the amount of $175. In addition to the fee and application, I was asked to provide SSI numbers for myself, my husband, and my children, as well as banking information like a routing number. I began to get suspicious when an astronomical amount for a security deposit was requested, so I began digging and found out that they were impersonating an actual housing business called Paramark Real Estate Services. This company has my personal information as well as my husband’s and children’s SSI numbers.
