Note: The fraudster appeared to be spoofing the above business’ phone number (808) 235-0487, which is the phone number for P.A.R.E.N.T.S., Inc.

Incident: The fraudster called my phone at 1:23 PM (Hawaii time) Mon 03 FEB 20. A pre-recorded message stated that my car’s warranty was expiring and that this phone call was my last notification. It specified to dial 1 to decline coverage and specified to dial 2 to speak with a representative. I dialed 2 to speak with a rep so I could ask the representative for the name of the business and the email address so I could email them to ask to be added to the do not call list. When the representative picked up the phone, an older woman asked me what year and make of vehicle I own. I asked her what the name of her company is and she spoke over me asking again for the year and make of my vehicle. I asked again and she said National Dealer Service or National Dealer Services. I asked for the email address of the business and she replied in an irritated voice, "Excuse me???" At that point she hung up. I called the number back and a woman answered the phone as P.A.R.E.N.T.S., Inc. I asked the rep if they sell extended warranties for cars and she said no and explained that they offer parenting classes. At that point, I notified her about what had happened and that I believe a fraudster spoofed the phone number of P.A.R.E.N.T.S., Inc.

This business has been calling me for several months now and I finally got the name of their business usually if I ask any questions or give them any information about the fact that I don’t want or don’t have a vehicle that they can cover under warranty they hang up they refused to take me off of their call list or put me on the Do Not Call List. They are extremely rude they don’t listen to me and they refused to provide any information. They constantly are calling it all times of the day early in the morning middle of the day several times and even after dinner. I consider this harassment as they aren’t giving me any information and they aren’t putting me on the Do Not Call List and they just keep calling me back. They change between different offices I can tell because sometimes they have a Southern accent sometimes it’s a Midwestern accent sometimes it is people with an Indian accent and sometimes it is people who sound like they are from California. This business needs to be shut down so they can stop harassing people and trying to scam money out of them for a fake warranty.

I have received multiple calls from National Dealer Service attempting to sell an auto warranty. The automated caller says to press 2 if you want to be taken off of the contact list, however, they just call again using a different number. Receiving several calls per week inspite of pressing option 2. Pressed option 1 today and spoke to live person. When I explained that I wanted to be taken off of the contact list, she hung up on me immediately. I called the number back and received message that the call cannot be completed.

National Dealer Service has called me many times saying that my cars warranty was about to expire, which is true. They used terms like "final notice". So I finally decided to speak with a human. They immediately started asking me for very basic information about my car. I asked them why they’re calling me if they didn’t know that basic information. The woman on the other end of the phone got very angry and hung up. I believe that they were trying to get my information, my money, or both.
