Type of a scam Phishing
Received a call from someone who identified them self as being with the Sheriff’s Office and say there has been 70 people that did not report to Jury Duty and I was one of them. They wanted me to go to a drug store and purchase a gift card/voucher. You wont get money back for the cost of the card. Put $480 in one card and $470 on the other card.
I did not provide any personal information.
Go to the courthouse and check a box that i have not received a notice for jury duty and that in the future I want notice sent out as certified mail.
