Type of a scam Employment
Received text message from a person identifying themselves as Steve Howard from Swiss Healthcare Services. He informed me my résumé had been "received, reviewed, and approved by company HR Dept" and I should reply if interested. He then texted, "The Positions Available are :Front Desk, Accounting Payroll,Office Clerk,Book keeping,Customer Service,Software Engineering , Administrative Assist ,IT Project Management,Executive Assist,Informatics officer,Chief medical officers, Data Entry, Medical Biller/Coding,Accounting Manager,Human Resources,Mechanical engineering Which are you applying for ?" I told him I didn’t recall applying with Swiss-HCS and he ignored the comment. He then asked for my email address which was on my résumé, so I was cautious and thought it might be scam. He then told me to go on Google Hangouts for interview. It took 3 more texts to get him to email me job description. I started interview and first thing interviewer did was say the same thing the first guy did–listed all the jobs then asked which I was applying for. Then he said "I am here to brief and interview you more about the position you’re applying for, Please introduce yourself and indicate your full name and location." Again info available from résumé. He played off the unconventional interview approach, using Hangouts messaging (not voice or video), as them trying to stay up with technology. He described the company, verbatim from website, and listed benefits as, "Benefits Package of Swiss-hcs: Health, Dental, Life and AD&D Insurance, being able to use sick time without having to prove you are sick or presenting a doctor’s note, employee Wellness and 401k plans. Paid Time Off and Holidays with Generous Company Discounts, Relocation Allowances (for some positions) as well as Sign-On Bonuses." There were many questions that should have been answered by résumé and I was convinced this was scam or at least not what it appeared (direct marketing, etc.). He came back with offer after consulting with board of directors. I contacted Swiss-HCS and they confirmed it was fraud. When I told him this, he deleted his email account.
