Total money lost $290

Type of a scam Tech Support

On Sunday, 2/5/2017 I was logging on to the internet from my home laptop and I got a warning message from Microsoft saying that I have a virus. I was immediately locked out of my computer and the only way to resolve this was to call the number on the screen (outside of the Microsoft box).

I called 800-253-8059 and/or 800-290-9372(tech support).

They worked on my computer for almost two hours and I had to pay a fee for their service which was $290. The IT director at my place of work said I was scammed. I called my bank and spoke to the fraud department and they are working on it now to see if they can do a take back of the money I lost. I was given a name by the male who was helping me – Pravas Jha. The merchant that charged my credit card is viable-tech-support.com It was processed in China and I also had a foreign transaction fee applied to my credit card. Tech Support Payment Site: www.oktechpay.us The credit card billing is: PES*VIABLE-TECH-SUPPORT.COM SHENZHEN CHN.
