Consumer was on news website and pop up appeared stating the site I was going to detected a problem with the IP address on the computer (microsoft problem). They provided a number of 877-840-6894 identified themselves as a small tech support company that vends with microsoft. They wanted access to my computer to resolve the issues which they stated was hackers. They wanted to charge me 200.00 to keep the computer safe. I could see where they were scanning the computer.
