Type of a scam Fake Invoice/Supplier Bill

I received a call asking for (my company name) from this company claiming to be OSHA compliance services -to protect yourself in case of an injury on the job as well as any future employees. At the time of the call they offered a "one time low cost for the year", however

before completing his sales pitch, I interrupted, stating I was not interested in doing anything over the phone and if there is any information in writing that I can review. They offered to mail some paperwork for me to look at to determine if it fits my needs.

Within 1 week I received a package in the mail with 3 ring binder sealed with plastic having an Invoice of $374.98. One section reads if we would like to return the item, it would require a Return Merchandise Authorization number (RMA), providing a ph# 888-966-7961. I immediately called the number, left voicemail requesting the RMA in order to return – no return call received. Two weeks later receive a 2nd invoice requesting payment, I called again, left voicemail with mine and my wife’s # so we can resolve this. My wife received a call today and they informed her that they will accept the package back, but will need to pay a "restocking" fee of $80.00 to close out the account. She declined, requested a conference call with myself and the company to discuss. They refused to take a 3 way call, stating I had agreed to this, and that is what is owed. I in-fact NEVER agreed to the services, only to receive information as they had cold called me and I refused to do anything over the phone.

First, this company contacted us purporting to be from OSHA, saying we needed to purchase safety products from them to be compliant. Then, when asked directly if they were from OSHA, they said they "worked with OSHA", and stated that if we did not purchase products from them to become compliant, they’d have to report us to OSHA. They sent a packet of materials that we DID NOT WANT or need to be compliant, and then have been sending bills saying we owe them. DO NOT ORDER MATERIALS FROM THIS COMPANY.

Type of a scam Employment

The Safety Services Company out of Tempe, Arizona contacted us by phone. They told our employee who answered the phone that we needed to renew our services for OSHA related posters. Our employee was unsure what to do and said it was an incredibly short phone call. He reluctantly said they could send us some stuff. Once we received a poster from them, we called them back and apologized, saying we already have another company who takes care of such needs and that the person from Safety Services had been misleading over the phone saying we needed the posters so we wouldn’t be fined. The new representative apologized for the confusion and gave us an address where we could return the poster to. We thought it was over, but they have been calling us multiple times a week demanding that we pay them a $30 cancelation fee – for something we don’t have or need. The last Safety Services representative that called our business was actually YELLING at me to pay the $30 or she would just keep calling daily until we did. She told me her name is Damiana (could be her actual name, or perhaps a fake name because I told her I was going to report her and her company to the BBB). These phone calls need to stop. And what kind of reputable business would yell at someone they are trying to get money from? Terrible business practice, and this needs to be reported. Thank you.
