This postal letter arrived in an envelope with red marking indicating "Do Not Destroy"

The letter itself was pink so as to draw attention and had a very short deadline. The letter also indicated that I should contact them to ensure no lapse in warranty coverage. "By neglecting to activate your coverage you will be at risk of being financially liable for any and all repairs after your factory warranty expires. However, you still have time left to activate your service contract on your vehicle before it’s too late." "No other notices will be sent for this offer." This was my 2nd notice. My vehicle is a new 2 month old vehicle. It is not in danger of a warranty lapse.

This was an obvious attempt to heighten tension and instill a false sense of urgency to entice me to call them. I did not. Had I done so, I have no doubt that some form of sale attempt would have occurred. I didn’t phone them just to listen to the expect pitch simply because I didn’t want to provide them my phone number if they don’t already have it.

We recently purchased a used car. Since then we have received at least two notices a month from this so called company stating that we are ‘RISKING LOSING WARRANTY COVERAGE’. They ask us to contact them immediately to ensure no loss of warranty coverage.

The letter sent looked very legitimate and when I called they knew all about the car I had gotten recently. I should have called the dealer first but I didn’t; my mistake. I called the dealer after going along with the scam. Now I am going through the process of have my credit card company challenge the charge so I don’t wind up having to pay it.

We received multiple letters about activating or warranty on our new car. The letters made it sound urgent. They asked for a credit card over the phone which we did not give them. After calling the dealership we bought our car from they said it was a scam.
