Scam is for "Mystery Shoppers". They take your general information and send you a "Priority Mail" envelope. The envelope contains specific instructions and a check for $1,378.00. They give you 24 hrs to cash the check, which is obviously fake, and keep $188, spend $50 at Walmart then send a Walmart Money Gram in the amount of $1000 to: Derek Shatzer Albany, New York.( I have seen other names on Snopes)

I received a mystery shopper “assignment” to evaluate Walmart 2 Walmart money service.i received a cashiers check (drawn on the First National Bank of Fremont in Fremont Nebraska) made out to me personally for 1378.00. I was to deposit and cash it. Take out my pay 278.00 and send the remaining cash 1100.00 to Johnson Belisario in Austin Texas. I was to send my “report” to the emails listed. Sounds pretty sketchy to me. Please verify. Thanks

I received an E mail at work. SecretShopers.Shopflexfun In the E mail they offered to pay me $200 to $300 per assignment to shop at Wal Mart and other stores. They asked me only for my name and home address. I filled out the form with that information. This morning I received a letter and cashiers check in the mail. Check is for $1378. I was to deduct my pay for the assignment $200. Purchase items. Left a total $1108. Wanted me to send $1100 by Wal Mart to Wal Mart Service. The $8.00 is for the fee. Send money to Johnson Figueredo in Austin TX. To Wal Mart in Austin TX. I realized it was a scam when I saw the size of the check. the initial E mail looked legitimate. I did not do anything with the check. I received it priority mail. Gloria Haro 1500 South Glendora Ave. Glendora CA 91740-5662. Is on the envelope.
