We were victimized by a "company" called Systune Soft in August. They somehow loaded files onto our computer that led to dire, unclosable popup warnings, threatening malicious viruses that would ruin our computer (ironic!). This led my wife to call the "support" number and she gave them our CC number and we were charged $169. Their "technician" was working on our laptop remotely when I happened to call my wife and intervene. Fortunately I had her shut the machine down immediately before they had done damage or stolen information. We also had our CC company block the charge and issue us new cards. FYI they keep calling me, I guess to try to get their $$ back – brazen!
