Type of a scam Debt Collections

Strategic Student Solutions (SSS) advertises itself as a student loan forgiveness program with the intention of assisting consumers with school loan debt consolidation. The call with a representative/agent expressed they worked for the United States Department of Education, leading me to believe that after an application process they and careful consideration I would be able to get my loans condensed into one low affordable payment that would be dispersed over a lifetime. This would alleviate contact with my lenders and I would never have to worry about collection calls, deferments and/or defaults. After approval, my bank account would be debited for $266.33/month for 3 months with a sustainable monthly deduction of $13.00 for the duration of what I owed to my lenders. In addition, the collection calls and communication from my lenders would be stopped and a paid in full notice would be rendered to the lender as I make payments through their subsidiary, SSS. This was doable and I complied. To my dismay upon the 4th month when it was time for my deduction of $13 to take effect, I received a notice of a deduction of $49.99/month. This prompted a much needed call to SSS. An agent, Javon Maragh, told me that the "additional" deduction was for credit repair charges. I was not aware and never told during previous verbal conversations that this was a credit repair corporation. The fact that this vital piece of information was not given during the initial call is scam. In addition, my collection letters never stopped from my lenders to which I questioned but I was never given an direct answer. Myself and my spouse are victims of fraudulent advertisement.
