Sivan Cattery advertised six Siberian Kittens aged 12 weeks old. We communicated back and forth a great deal. I answered a lengthy questionnaire. After I paid a total of 790 dollars, through Zelle and signed the purchase contract, I received a letter from the Snap Shipping Service shipping company letting me know the preparations were being made to ship my kitten. This was followed by a second email letter telling me a payment of 1,500 dollars needed to insure the kitten. I got curious and looked up the web site. The sad thing is I originally checked the Cattery on The Better Busines Site and found nothing. When I got the letter from the shipping company, I saw the tab to report a scam and was surprised to find several people have complained. I complained to the Cattery and asked them to refund my money. They stopped answering my emails. I don’t know what it takes but this should be placed more prominently or crossed referenced in some way. Had I seen those letters before I would have never sent my money.

I was looking for an exotic short hair cat. I found the website sivancattery.com and their cats looked affordable. I inquired via email about the cats and the purchase of Orpi the cat. The seller told me the cat was $700.00 with a $100.00 transportation fee. If agreed the seller would fly the cat to my local airport and then tranport the cat via van to my house. The seller asked what type of home I had and if it was suitable for the cat and what occupation I had. The seller told me that they use Zelle and would require the payment before shipping the cat. The seller sent me a contract stating the sale of the cat for $800.00. I paid the seller via Zelle through my bank account to the email the seller provided. I sent a payment of $500.00 and then $300.00 based on my banks policies. That day I made the last payement I received a call from Snap Shipping1-706-538-2679 they told me to check my email about the delivery of my cat. I could not see an email. The caller was foreign and got frustrated and told me to look in my spam folder. I then located two emails from [email protected] com, see below

But we are facing a little problem, the Insurance and Quarantine service center for the City International Airport service which is the first Port of check-out requires an insurance certification proceeding the delivery of your kitten.
The said insurance fee is re-fundable upon safe arrival of this kitten at your doorstep.
If the insurance certificate is not provided within 24 hours, this kitten will be placed on Quarantine for the next Two (2) months, and the parties related to this kitten will be claimed at the court of Law for pet abuse.
This insurance fee goes along side to enable us to get your pets an Insurance Certificate and hiring of a crate for your kitten to be delivered to you including transfer of ownership papers on your names. All you need to understand is that Pet transport Department have got nothing with pet insurance services.We only help to organize the shipment/ delivery of your kitten through our pet delivery aircrafts and Vans to your door step. we wish to enlighten you about the following points concerning the transportation of animals with U.S;
1A. All animals have a life and integrity and therefore are been regarded as humans in their own domain.

4B. The life insurance fee is to cover for the caring of the animal in case of animal abandonment for 3 months before the animal it is been quarantined.

Insurance Payment Strategy:
The insurance fee to be paid per animal must be equivalent to the cost price of the animal in question and this was decided by the U.S Aviation Commission / U.S Financial Bureau.Looking at clause 5A above, it shows that the insurance cost to be paid as required by the U.S Aviation Commission is $1500 for this kitten.
But this system brought to many complaints from pet owners and beyond and so the two mother committees sat and decided to adopt the Full refund Insurance Scheme method of insurance payments. This system requires that the owner of the animals pays the total amount of the insurance fee and the total amount most be Refunded in cash including the transfer charges, upon safe arrival of this kitten at his or her respective destination.
To this effect, you are required to pay a total sum of $1500 .The money will be Refunded at the time of delivery by the delivery agents who will bring this kitten to you. The refund will be made in cash at time of delivery and it will have to be refunded in total as stated in clause 7A of the U.S Aviation Commission / Financial Bureau laws.
We also wish to inform you that this kitten will remain here until the refundable insurance fee is paid before this kitten can depart from our detention. There is no compromise on this issue. We request and advice you treat this issue with a high degree of discretion and urgency.

I told the shipper I was not told about the $1500.00 insurance fee in my contract, I told them I would call them back.
I then called the seller and a foreign woman answered. I asked her about the insurance fee and asked why this was not in the contract and why she did not tell me this up front. I told her that is a lot of money and how do I know I will get it back. She said I have given you the contract. I told her I needed to call my husband, I called my husband and he said he didn’t feel good about anything. I called the seller back and told her I wanted to cancel, as soon as I did she hung up on me. I called multiple times and she would no longer answer. I called the shipping service and got a recording. I left a message to call me back as soon as possible and no one did. I tried to email the seller who was in very frequent contact with me asking her/him to refund the $800.00 per the contract and there was no reply. I requested the $800.00 through the seller’s Zelle account to be reimbursed and they declined the request. I filed a claim with both charges at my bank. They have taken my money and I don’t have what was promised in the contract. I wanted to reach out because my money was taken without the promise of a cat and it has not been refunded after multiple attempts. My trust was betrayed and the seller took my money with out a product given. Their website is still intact for other potential buyers and their shipping site is still intact, i noticed shipping was misspelled on their website. They said they are a 24/7 company but no one will answer the calls. If the money is lost then it is lost, I am hoping by bringing their scam to light others will not lose money like I have. I work hard and I am a trusted person and they took advantage of my hard work, me, and my money. I feel like they should be penalized for their injustice.

I saw advertised 6 Siberian kittens, so inquired and was told they are all available. The owner, Cyril Jamie, asked me a bunch of questions, first one was, am I a breeder. She was very responsive to all of my inquiries, and finally I received an email from a pet shipping company detailing the date of shipment for the cat we purchased for $800.00. Then I received a second email from the shipping company requesting $1500.00 for insurance to ensure the kitten got to us safely, and if we didn’t pay it in 24 hours the kitten would be quarantined for 2 months and we would be held accountable for pet abuse. We asked to cancel the transaction with the breeder, Cyril, and were told that wasn’t possible, then she told me she would call me back and abruptly hung up. I have not received a phone call back from her. These people are criminals, both the breeder and he shipping service. DO NOT BE FOOLED!! Sivan Cattery and Snap Shipping – stay away!
