Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order
I received a cashier’s check for $2930 from this company saying that I had been approved to be a secret shopper. They listed a bunch of stores, including Kroger, which we don’t have in St. Louis and also K-mart. They wanted me to deposit the money, then take $350 for myself, and then purchase a cashier’s check for $50 made out to the American Heart Society. The I was to go to Walmart and purchase $2400 worth of gift cards.
