Company contacted elderly Dish Network customer. Stated this call was for a dish upgrade and that the customer needed to have an equipment update or upgrade. Told her that they could do it over the phone and all she needed to do was shut her television off and they could perform the changes. Stated her bill would be $30 a month and she would save over $300 a year. When they said the upgrade was complete they wanted a credit card or debit card to charge her $199.99 for the upgrade. When either was provided, they said she could send a check to their address. Caller provided a call back number of 707-207-0681, which is not a working number. Company also stated that the PIN number they use for the account is the last four of the customers social security number.
