The scammer contacted me through direct messaging and proceeded to ask for my phone number to send an invoice. They refused to use PayPal which would have been the safest way to purchase anything. I decided to follow through with the purchase (which was a pair of sneakers) and then the merchant called me saying he would refund me. Once asking where my refund was the merchant blocked me on social media where I originally contacted him and he also blocked my number making me unable to call them or any associates.
