For several day i have been receiving a phone call from 901-218-6870, they will not leave a message. Today i answered the call and heard a pre-recorded message stating some suspecious activity with my social security number. It acts you to push 1 for more information. A male voice came on the line and ask how he could help me. I told him this number call me. He then ask what the message was about, i responded my social security number and then the line went dead. I called the number back, it dosen’t identify a business, just a prerecorded message identifying the phone number for you to leave a message.

They claimed to be from Social Security Administration in California. Stated that my SSN has been used for many fraudulent activities in CA. Said that a warrant had been issued for my arrest but they have it on hold until they could get in touch with me to verify if it was actually me or if my number had been stolen. Said that if I didn’t cooperate with them I would spend at least 5 years in jail and numerous fines. They wanted me to send them money.

A male with foreign accent calling stating is a SSA officer and was calling to tell about usage of my SS number in Texas. I hung up after a minute had passed and called back. A female answered with a foreign accent and I asked what company I was calling. She stated SSA in San Antonio, TX and they call when find activity on SS number in Texas. She asked my name, I told her, then she said she did not hear me so I gave her my last name, after a short silence she said my whole name, I said yes. I asked her what did they find going on with my social number. She stated she will first need my date of birth and SS number. I told her she is suppose to already have that so why do I need to give it. I told her to call it out and I will let her know if it is correct. She said she cannot help me if I do not give my number. I told her that was ok and I would call the local office. I was online almost two minutes.
